Submission Guidelines

Format

SaaS Mag asks that contributors submit all pieces in American English and to follow AP Style. Our editors may ask for that copy be revised if it is submitted with excessive spelling and grammar mistakes. We ask that all contributors carefully proofread pieces before submission to speed the review and acceptance process.

Word Count

All submitted pieces must reach at least 1,000 words. While we do not have a hard limit on the maximum word count, we prefer that longer form pieces sit under 6,000 words.

Links

For both SEO and citation purposes, we encourage contributors to include links in their articles. Links should track to credible, reputable sources. While you may link back to your own website, blog, and/or product pages, this should not be done in an overly promotional way. Also, if you are citing statistics, please add a link to the original study, not another article that cites the study. Finally, when contributors submit their pieces to SaaS Mag, they also give editors the right to include backlinks to other relevant SaaS Mag posts or features.

Content

Readers come to SaaS Mag for great advice, to learn what has or hasn’t worked for other entrepreneurs and founders, and for relevant news or studies. If you have a particular topic in mind, it’s helpful to search our blog for related pieces. That way, you can see how it has already been covered and how you can take a new approach to that topic. While we love to publish new content, we cannot accept content that is overly promotional, includes paid advertisements, or plagiarizes another idea or piece.

Once contributors have submitted a piece, they give SaaS Mag the right to edit their piece to fit house style and tone. To maintain transparency, we always let contributors view the final edits before publishing. Should contributors have any further questions regarding our submission and editorial guidelines and processes, please email [email protected] with any queries.
